Reef Catchments has worked with over 15 Rural Fire Brigades in the Mackay, Whitsunday, Isaac Region to provide training and information on ecological burning, weed management options and improved mapping techniques. The brigades involved in the program have all received updated fire management plans to assist them in planning their annual burn regime. This program aims to improve the management of regional ecosystems in the region.
