Whitsunday Catchment Landcare raises awareness and provides training opportunities for community members on topics including; sustainable land management, weed identification, control and landholder legislative responsibility, plant propagation and revegetation. WCL do this through media (facebook, newsletters and website), events including stalls at the Proserpine Show, Nature Celebration Whitsundays, Uniting Church Flower Show and St. Catherine’s College Annual Night Markets and specific training events. Six general meetings provide opportunity for members to hear from guest speakers on relevant topics and participate in the planning of WCL’s future programs.
