In 2016 Reef Catchments provided funding and support for training and up-skilling of a group of volunteers to enable regular monitoring of seagrasses in the region. Seagrass monitoring occurs a couple of times a year at a variety of locations throughout the Mackay, Whitsunday Isaac region. The data is reported to Seagrass Watch and is used in the Healthy Rivers To Reef Report Card.
