Coastcare is gaining popularity in the region with both educational and on-ground works events attracting high numbers each year. The events up-skill community and raise awareness on environmental issues. Some of the most popular events are the school holiday Coastcare events which are specifically designed to engage school children and teach them about how to care for their coasts. Reef Catchments Coasts team releases a quarterly enewsletter filled with educational information, updates on works that are occurring and details of citizen science opportunities and events.
